I'll give it to them, they traveled well. We had about as many Aggie fans as we ever do, so not a bad crowd, depending on which cam you were watching. I think people moved away from CP after he had his match clearly in hand, so for those watching him on the webcam, it might've seemed a little quiet. Also, not much support for Collin and Marcus. Most of the fans were concentrated around Austin and Griggy. I though Ole Miss had good fans, no complaints.

EXCEPT for the one monster d**kh**d sitting behind Griggy.

He leaned over the railing blew raspberries (I'm sure they have another name, but when you stick your tongue out and blow spit kinda) all over griggy when he was going to pick up balls to get ready for his serve. I mean, he was basically spitting on Griggy's head. Grigg went and told the official, who called out the NCAA official security, and then that ***** had the balls to look the official in the eye and say "what did I do? How can you warn me when you don't know what I did? Blah blah blah." None of the Ole Miss fans came to his rescue. And then he turns around to us and says "no one likes Aggies" because we were giving him **** about being a ****ing dick. His shorts came to about mid thigh, and he had a sweet visor on. Pretty much encapsulated everything that everyone hates about frat-overrun SEC schools. That pissed me off a lot. It's a shame that after that Griggy kinda fell apart. Guy should've been removed immediately. He was blowing spit all over our player! His guy should've been penalized too, because we were looking at the team photos, and I'm pretty sure he was on the team and just didn't make the NCAA roster.

And don't worry, this isn't one of those things where I just come and ***** on the internet. We let him have it, big time.

I did hear this exchange on the webcam and was wondering what triggered the warning. They were pretty annoying and most likely on the team roster. Those bottom feeders usually are the most annoying cheerleaders.

I disagree with the rest of your post about crowd support. There is another thread about how little support the Aggie fans gave. Griggy had no verbal support late in the first set when he could have used it most. I'm sure everyone was watching CP and having a great time watching him dominate.

The Ole Miss fans knew where the critical match was and put there effort into supporting "Brammy". Certainly those punks were over the line, but I didn't hear any Ags doing their part.

Why does a tennis player need verbal support to win? I mean its tennis....Your on your own don't blame fan support on this loss.

Why do you cheer at a football game? Oh wait, nevermind. You don't. You just sit back and beech about X, Y and Z.

You may not need it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to get it.

And why do you frequently read quotes from athletes saying having the fans behind them made a lot of difference. Isn't fan support the biggest factor in the concept of home field/court advantage? For some athletes it may not make if difference but for some verbal support does make a difference.

I thought the Ole Miss fans were just fine. I know they guy who has been mentioned, and I did not see the exchange that is described. That said, whatever he did does not hold a candle to the kind of abuse we regularly get at Baylor. I was told that several Baylor fans were removed from the stadium in the Wake Forest match, which is not hard to believe based on past conduct. That said, we clearly need a more vocal an energived crowd. In the day, we would have had that place rocking, and maybe some of our people would have gotten a warning, and I assure you last night we did not get close to a warning, much less an ejection. I can assure you the players are aware of the crowds, and long for the day when we had an active crowd.

"In the day" as you said, we used to have some good crowds out there. I remember cheering my a$$ off for Mad Dog & DeMesa, Cody, Khaled, Dumitru, Lester & Ante. We had some good freaking teams and those guys got fired up and just fed off the crowd. We should have more people out there for a Sweet 16 match.

Back when i worked with the athletics department while in school, I worked a lot with tennis and got to know Wil and Austin pretty well when they first came in. They told me multiple times (especially after playing on the road) that one of the biggest factors about choosing aTm was the fact that our fan support was the best in the nation
