but the kid that will blow the competition away is connor black. he's still 5 years from graduating, but he is the number 1 player in the world at his age. in fact, he's already in the top 600 of all juniors in the world and he's only 12, more than 2000 spots ahead of the next closest in his age. the big schools are already radaring this kid and he really likes OSU. he's a family friend and my father is already going to start talking to the family to look at A&M. i know it's really early, but he'll be a household name in the golf world within the next 3 years.

Connor Black already winning in the 16-18 age group against pretty stiff competition.

On a side note, I actually got to play with Connor about 3 years ago at Cinco Ranch. He hit the ball great. So I asked him how old he was... thinking he was about 14... and he said 11. I asked him if he was playing HGA or if he was starting to play in some nationally recognized tournaments and he said he won the Starburst and Texas-Oklahoma (I think). I asked for his last name and looked up the leaderboards for those tournaments. Sure enough he was telling the truth. Since then, I kept his name in my memory bank, figuring I would hear it again someday.

What are the odds that that kid retains eligibility to play in college? Obviously things happen between 12 and 18, but I bet it's not very likely.
