How does this help us with the director's cup?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't hurt us much.

Gun safety is no accident.

my guess is that we'll be moving up from 20th in the next release...

Well it's 300 points from golf and track, plus some points in softball and baseball as well. Looking good!

Token, you're the resident bean counter . . . don't make us wait until then.

Probably a top 5 finish. Just don't have enough sports to keep up with Stanford

The Ags will finish with a total of 976 points. 100 each for M Golf, and both T&Fs, plus 25 for softball and 25 for baseball. I was going to see how the point totals for all the teams ahead and directly behind us are up to the CWS but it would take too long. Guess we'll just have to wait until June 19th when the next score update is released.

Well...last year we got 1031 for 12th place.

I don't think anybody behind us can catch us. There are 5 sports (500) not on that release.

Texas A&M +350

I will look some more at others later. I think washington is going to be +218 plus whatever they did in baseball.

There are actually 6 sports not on that release. You are forgetting about Rowing. Stanford got first and I think Cal will get some points also.

Ok. So I got bored and decided to tally up the points for everything except baseball. Note that I assumed some scoring on men's golf using an 8 team playoff point break down and any other team that made the stroke play but did not advance to the match play got 10 points.

So here is I think it stands with only baseball left:

1. Stanford
2. UNC
3. Michigan
4. Florida
5. USC
6. California
7. Washington
8. Texas
9. Ohio State
10. Texas A&M
11. Virginia
12. Minnesota
13. LSU
14. Arizona State
15. UCLA
16. Florida State
17. Duke
18. Georgia
19. Penn State
20. Notre Dame
21. Illinois
22. Auburn
23. Michigan State
24. Maryland

So with that said, A&M can do no better than 12th place since Virginia is only about 8 points behind and LSU is only 61.5 points behind and they will get 73 points just for making the CWS. Arizona State is the only other team that can still pass A&M. If Arizona State is still playing on Friday, they will pass A&M.

For comparison purposes, Texas will finish in 6th place no matter how they do in the CWS.

I think I got all that right.

Or they could just drop football. That would help. I mean we don't really have a national champion in football, do we?

The school that wins the director's cup every year hasn't been to a bowl game since 2001.

But they do have a million other sports.
