Time for a wealthy former student to step up and accelerate the funding, development and naming of a new outdoor track and track facility! What Arky has looked impressive on tv today.

It is amazing what Coach Henry, his staff and the athletes have done considering the existing outdoor track may not be as good as most cow pastures and is certainly not as level as any of them.

Improvements to athletic facilities are being made right and left on campus. Have a little patience. Unless, of course, you are that wealthy former student to which you refer.
You are right about one thing, though. Arky cerainly has an impressive facility. Of course, they also have, what, 40 national championships?

Does anyone have good info on the status of the outdoor track? I heard from someone who spoke to Coach Henry and I don't quite remember the story right, but basically, due to the current location of the outdoor track, the wind conditions are very unfavorable for decent track competition. So improving the track or the facilities in that location would not be worth the effort. If that's true, I assume if they were serious about upgrading our track, that a new location would be found? Does any of this sound legit, or do I sound like I'm talking out of my arse? Clearly, my memory is failing me tonight...

Yes. I remember the same thing on one of BB's speeches. He also said that the construction of the outdoor track is on on track (no pun intended).
