Fayetteville is at elevation and not so hot in June.
There are probably more reasons. I'm not sure what they are.

Plus, Arkansas has won 40 national titles in cross country and track & field as well as 84 conference titles, including 33 straight cross country titles in the SWC and SEC.

AngryBeaver, I think the final ruling was that 2004 and 2005 were officially vacated because of maurice green (?) being illegally recruited.


But still, that's dominance. 5,000 is still pretty good in a college during summer sessions, outdoors in the summer.

If we build an outdoor track similar to our indoor track, then I feel a shift in power. We were the best program in the nation this year, and with a few more awesome years like this, we will be recognized as one of the best programs period.

Arkansas has the best T&F facilities and its not close.

I've never been on the track at either facility, but I will say a lot of seats and a pretty facade doesn't make a track facility the best.


On the note about facilities, Arkansas recently rebuilt their outdoor facilities, did they not?

While I have not been on the track, I have read about how the turns at the Longhorn track have a wider radius than traditional tracks...could that play a part in it, as well?

across the board, arkansas has outstanding facilities.

Arkansas has the best atmosphere because the stands are closer to the the track.

Something our indoor facility actually lacks. Heard complaints about it

Looks about the same to me, Big Kat. Without putting stands on both sides, you're going to be far away from some track events.

I'd rather have a closer view of the sprints than the distance stuff.

Aren't we working on improving the Anderson Track Complex?

And yes, UA has the best T&F facilities in the US. Maybe UCLA is close, but not anymore. I ran at Drake Stadium in 1970 while a senior in HS and that was a palace back then. Today? Same place with what changes???

I havent personally been to both stadiums. That is what I was told by a member of the LSU T&F staff.
