Why does someone yell that everytime someone hits a ball? Even when someone is teeing off on a Par 5, people yell it.

It is the new YOU THE MAN!!! It's only useful for sorting out which fans are morons.
Was sort of funny at the Masters this year when someone yelled it, Nick Faldo responded with a "Please, not at Augusta" on the broadcast.
