I saw Oregon's Cross Country team being interviewed while I was at the airport? Has Henry brought in enough Cross Country athletes to make us contenders in the Big 12 or NCAA's?

Henry recruits sprinters and jumpers. Look at who scored at NCAA's and that's where the scholarship $$$ is.

That said, the girls should be decent this year and there's a decent shot we sweep the LSS points in CC this year. The CC coach does a great job of bringing in enough ham-and-eggers to make the two teams competitive in the Big 12.

Henry did get CJ Brown from Southlake Carroll, who won state in the 1600m in 4:10. Don't know about any others though.

The men will beat Texas but I don't think they are a serious threat for top three at conference. If they can beat Texas they should qualify for NCAA's as only A&M, Texas and Arkansas are legitimate threats for those spots. The women are better and have a good shot at beating Texas and finishing in the top half of conference. It would be a stretch for them to make nationals but it is possible.

Did the Aggies run a reduced squad in Waco? That was a prety good whipping Baylor put on them.

Mostly newcomers to the squad.

I'm guessing they'll run the big guns at the home meet this coming Saturday, which should be lots of free fun to any nearby Aggies.

Yes, they ran a very reduced squad (likely a tryout for who's on the scoring squad for this week), but keep in mind Baylor is decent too (the HC is a distance guy).
