So I was on campus for the Utah State game and got to College Station the Friday before and saw the Men's team running and the team looked almost double the size they were last year, did a bunch of people walk on? Or did they just recruit a ton of people?

This would be great news, especially if a few of them are distance swimmers. Squad size probably wouldn't help them in the overall scheme (Big 12's, NCAA's) but if you're going to swim the dual meets, might as well do all you can to win them.

Why is TAMU the slowest at getting their current roster on the website? Still has last year's rosters (both men and women).

Yeah, the girls can't even get their new scchedule up.

That's what I heard. Apparently they're sharing one for the time being? Was this a cost cutting move, or are there some juicy details of indescretion??

Byrne laid off a lot more people than just that guy. Had nothing to do with any indiscretions and everything to do with money. This guy must have made a ton of money and they needed to cut his salary.

Probably because swimming wasn't the only sport they worked with. A&M has also been known to host an NCAA Championship or two (like both last March) as well as the Big 12 Championship every three years. Those things don't run themselves.

SID's do a lot more than most people realize -- hence someone not having the time to put the rosters on A&M's website 3-4 weeks into the semester.

The girls SID was also the Equestrian SID. You can imagine the amount of time it takes to be the information director for the 500 girls on that team...

I wasn't implying anything bad about him Look Out Below. Just making a joke/hoping it was something exciting, but figuring it probably wasn't.

Both the men's and women's rosters are up....lots of new blood on the men's side.

Whats going on with the diving team? The coach was fired today.

I haven't heard, but there was grumblings all of last year about certain divers wanting to transfer. Not sure if it had to do with the coach, or the fact that they all live about 3000 miles away and were homesick, or something else, but it feels like he was only sticking around because Sehn liked him.

Again, don't know for sure, I'm just speculating.

Wasn't implying that he did just leave. I meant that the only reason they were keeping him around.
