Top 40 RPI, quality wins against baylor and nebraska, ended on a 4 game winning streak. We will most likely be in a 3 way tie for 4th with baylor and oklahoma unless oklahoma beats ISU tonight. I think we're in. Any thoughts?
They better be! We've done everything possible in the last few weeks to ensure that spot, and I don't know if there's very many hotter teams going into the tournament. It would be an absolute travesty if we were kept from the tournament
I dont know about the idea of being one of the hotter teams with 4 wins in a row but we should be in. Barring a huge win by Oklahoma over Iowa State we should be tied for 4th with Baylor and Oklahoma behind three top 10 teams in the country. The win at Oklahoma was huge and the comeback in set 2 tonight took the wind out of the sails of Mizzou.
I would say we are 90% in...I wish we had one more signature win and/ or not lost to Kansas State or St. Mary's but i think we are good enough to be in.
That said we need to recuit a player with the athletic ability of #9 for Mizzou in the future.
We have a 6'1" setter coming in from Colorado as well as 2 Ouside hitters one from Wharton and one from Cy Creek. None in the top 250 according to prepvolleyball based upon potential promise at the collegiate level.
We will be down next year with inexperience at collegiate level plus meshing with new setter. Heard rumor also a setter from Canada but not sure of that. Maybe the same one already described that is from Colorado.
With Iowa State sweeping Oklahoma last night i think an above .500 conference record and 4th place (tied) in conference should get us in then it comes down to ball control and serving. That has been up and down this season which makes us rely too much predictably on our pin attackers which we use a large amount anyway. I can see us a #7 seed and winning first round match
Florida State as a top seed. What a joke. That is a creampuff regional, it looks good for Washington. I guess losing that final match was a blessing in disguise for them.

Florida State is NOT a top seed and the idea of putting the top three teams in a pretty good conference in the same regional is wrong.
That said it is going to be interesting Arizona and LSU both very atletic teams
Interesting side note if we make it past Arizona and play LSU Mary Battis and Jenny Banse will go up against Samantha Dabbs their club setter for like 300 years at Alamo

Interesting Note for what its worth... Rice swept (SEC Champion) LSU to close out the season... They could possibly give t.u. a run for it. if they make it to 2nd round.
