Just got out of the game. Our girls didn't give up and fought till the end! Truly a team effort. I look forward to tomorrow.

Sarah Ammerman did not play because she violated a team rule. That speaks volumes about the integrity of Coach Corbelli!

I dont know if it speaks about integrity as much as it speaks about the type of coach that would risk a whole seasons work, 4 years of hopes, dreams and emotion from all the team especially the seniors, our first trip to the NCAA since 05, our teams reputation, and no doubt her chances of staying on as coach because Sarah did, what will end up being no big deal anyway.

Coach wasnt forced to do anything, everyone on the team would have wanted her on the court. What we have here is a blatantly poor coaching decision.

I like the decision. She held true to a team rule and her team still won. How is that bad coaching?

without the facts, we don't know if it was good or bad. Hopefully, we'll never know

Hooray for Corbelli! If the Captain and senior breaks the rules, there are penalties whether you are a Freshman or a STAR!

Gene Stallings got Joe Namath suspended at Alabama even though all the other coaches were against him!

If you are going to criticize anybody, obviously it should be against the one who broke the rules!

I don't like the idea of questioning Coach's team rules. She has a lot of younger players who need to see consistency. Sarah's played on the squad for 4 years and she surely knows the team rules. I'm glad Corbelli held the line - and it's none of our business.

By the by, outstanding win last night. Let's get another one tonight.

I agree that LC did the right thing.

Let's not be mistaken here, with her job on the line, and a win or you're done NCAA tournament game on the line, you don't sit your best player/senior captain for being slow coming out of the lockerroom, or not hustling back to the huddle in practice. She did something stupid.

We don't know what, the obvious choice being drinking, but we do know it wasn't just a "simple oversight" or a "misunderstanding of the expectations" or "oversleeping for math class". She made a conscious choice to do something that was against the rules, and didn't expect to get caught.

And I've read a few times (can't remember which thread, there's been so many) that I'm sure her teammates wanted her on the court blah blah. The score indicates they didn't really care. If you're out there busting your butt and doing the right things for your team, and someone else isn't, I'm sure they're way more pissed off at SA than they are at LC. You don't get suspended unless you do something that's detrimental to the team.

TAMUmpower sounds like one truly clueless individual. If you let a team leader slide for breaking team rules and the other players know it, you have lost all respect.

The only thing clueless would be to assume that she was the only one that has ever broke the 'rules'.

I know enough people in athletics to know that most people in authority dont really care what you do as long as you dont get caught. I have even heard a story from someone involved with a different sport on campus, where almost half the team was out drinking on a trip, got lost, and got into the hotel at like 4am. and the show just went on, no one on the team cared.

If one of them would have gotten caught, the rest of the team wouldnt have lost respect for them...because they did the exact same thing. What they would have done was keep quiet so that they didn't get in trouble too....which is probably what the rest of our team is doing. Heck, those girls are like the rat pack, where one is, the others are too.

Also, we all just assume Sarah is the only one that is in trouble. The rest of the entire bench could have been suspended as well we just wouldnt have noticed because they usually dont play.
