Anyone know if Keenan Hall the jumper has left the team and why if so.

Keenan Hall was a good one amongst a whole slew of jumpers that the Ags have. I had really thought that his future was in the multi events as he is a very talented jumper and runner. Too bad that he is gone.
I look forward to the season ahead and Saturday's opener. Couple of new kids to pay attention to: hurdler Wayne Davis (national record holder, but untested over the higher hurdles); Tabarie Henry JC transfer and '08 olympian who placed 4th at this past year's world championships-awesome talent who is already projected to win the NC's; Curtis Mitchell, another JC kid who is lightning fast and lastly Sam Humphreys, third on last year's javelin list (guess we'll have to wait til outdoors to assess his talent) Should be a fun year!GO AGS!

Man, I sure wish I was in College right now. I'd run for Coach Pat Henry in a heart beat!

The latest issue of track and field News (the so called "Bible of the sport" projects both the men's and women's team to repeat as national champions. The men are 1 point favorites over Florida while the women have a larger 6 point cushion over Oregon. The same publication rates both the men and women's 2009 recruiting class as number one in the nation.
The women scored big recruits from the jc ranks. Natasha Riddick is the jc record holder in the short hurdles and they got a good long jumper in Sasha-Kay Matthias (20'-2.5"
Best new prep is Donique' Flemings who runs the short and long hurdles. Should be a GREAT 2010!

I'm assuming those projections are for outdoor. Any idea what our chances are in the indoor season?

I love Gary Blair and his staff, but is there any question who the best coach in Aggieland is? Pat H is going to being MANY titles home in is tenure!

Coach Henry and his staff are not only excellent recruiters, they also excel in player development.

Note that the track staff did not bring in a single top 10 class on the men's side, yet they won (developed) a National Championship from these classes.

Too bad my eligibility is up (and I'm not twenty-something years younger). I'd walk on the team with Coach Henry in a heartbeat. Man...where was he back in the day?

FYI: I was a track athlete in H.S. Jumps & Sprints. Was all state up North. Almost walked on back in the day when I was a student.

Just found out that Keenan Hall transfered to Kentucky and will compete tomorrow in their invatational.

As best as I can determine, from last year's indoor track squad, the main participants we lost who decided to quit or transfer:

Nick Toohey - jr - dist - 1000m - 4th in Big 12 meet
Keenan Hall - soph - LJ - 10th in Big 12 meet; TJ - 9th in Big 12 meet
Sarah Pierson - soph - pentathlon - 9th best performance in Big 12

any results for any of them this season or have they just quite all together?

Keenan Hall is doing "ok" at Kentucky. He has long jumped an NCAA provisional mark of 7.50 (24-7.25) and tripled 15.19 (49-10). Do not know why he left, but I feel he would be jumping even better under the guidance of Coach Van H.

Yeah I was shocked to see him leave. Mind blowing, especially with his eligibility status and having already transferred from a jc. Thanks for that

Keenan is 37th in the US in the long jump and 47th in the triple jump. Don't know about the other two.

HOLDEN-Why did Lakeidra Stewart transfer from tu to us?

Another tu transfered to SMU. Their coach is hard to get along with. They lost at least two top recruits from last year. That says it all. Lakeidra is a stud!...as well as a good kid.

Sarah Pierson, can not find a thing on her. Maybe just quit, likewise Nick Toohey. Both do not appear on NCAA performance lists nor their any signs of transfer according to google.

What is going on at t.u......horns transferring to A&M.....great stuff!
