This board has had more than its fair share of haters who live to see coaches from the previous AD get the axe. Of course most of them would be jobless or perhaps without a college education if they were held to similar standards.

Congratulations especially for this great group of seniors that I am proud to have as fellow ags and representatives of our beloved university.

Give me a friggin break.

The Corbelli's hadn't taken a team to the NCAA tournament in three years. They hadn't won a NCAA tournament game in four years.

If they didn't make the tournament, they would have been graduating a group of seniors that hadn't made the tournament and the second straight group that hadn't won an NCAA game.

It has/had nothing to do with who hired them and everything to do with the fact that they were the worst performing program at this university.

Congratulations to the team, to the coaches and to everyone involved in the program. Very proud of how they came together this year.

Really? I'm not sure that I've ever seen this kind of thing mentioned on this board. Maybe you're thinking of the other boards? In fact, before you mentioned it, I hadn't even considered which AD hired LC. Without the tourny run, she needed to leave. Still don't think she's the best coach we could have, but she's earned herself one more year based on how she brought the team together in the tourny. If she got them to finish matches like that all the time, this wouldn't even be an issue.

Stupid comparison. Most of us have our jobs based on our ability to bring more money in to our companies than we cost our companies. Since it's nearly impossible to make money with the volleyball program, what else should we base her on? Are you telling me that she doesn't have the resources to be in the top 40ish big conference volleyball teams most of the time? Maybe not every year, but more often than 1 in 4! If she can't even get to the tourny any more than that, let alone win a game, with the resources she has (when in reality, we oughta be closer to top 25 every year), then she needs to move on to a different program.

But anyways, I'd prefer to keep this as a positive thread. Congrats girls! Way to finish the season strong!
