Every doctor in the world will tell you that is stupid. He’ll give his blood at the beginning of the year and he’s willing to be urine-tested 24/7, but blood doesn’t show [expletive] and he’s not going to do it.

That's not true, is it? Saying that he doesn't like needles seems a little shady. If he has absolutely nothing to hide then I have no idea why he has a problem with being tested.

It's all head games. Pacquiao is terrified of needles, and Mayweather knows that if every morning he wakes up and there's a chance someone's going to show up at his door to jab him with one, it's going to weigh on him.

stupid questions: how much blood would they be taking and how would it affect his training?

I read it's a teaspoon of blood and your body regenerates the lost blood within an hour. Where is everyone seeing it's because he's afraid of needles? I heard it was personal superstitions, he's never done a blood testing before.

Also Freddie Roach said he's not opposed to a testing, just not the day before the fight.

Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum said the demand is “absolutely crazy,” done simply to harass Pacquiao, who is squeamish about needles

I understand Pacquiao not liking having his blood taken, because frankly I don’t know anyone who really does

The more this debate goes on, the more suspicious Pacquiao is.

How does it make it more suspicious? He's already agreed to blood testing by the athletic commission he just doesn't want the USOC guidelines determining how. When you aren't an American & you aren't an amateur athlete, why the **** would you agree to that?

Mayweather started out as a featherweight and has put on about 30 pounds through his career as well, so if people want to throw accusations out, they should probably throw them both ways as I'm sure both guys have at least hit HGH like 90% of other pro athletes in contact sports.

It's a stupid mind game, build more press, etc thing.

This is from victor conte of balco:
Conte: 'In my opinion, blood testing for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is more important for detecting possible blood doping or use of EPO than it is for human growth hormone. Measuring hematocrit levels (percentage of red blood cells to total whole blood volume is very important. For example, even without a positive urine test for EPO, cyclists are temporarily suspended for two weeks if their hematocrit is greater than 50%. An elevated hematocrit can provide a significant advantage to a fighter by enhancing oxygen uptake and utilization. This would benefit a fighter in training and especially during the later rounds of a fight.'

This part Is interesting and it's legit info considering it comes from the best cheater in the sports game:

"Creams, transdurmals, clear the fastest. Orals, would be next. Water-based drugs- including testosterone- would be next, then the oil-based. So some of these can clear in a matter of hours and days," explained Conte."So if you know when you’re going to be tested a week out, you go off the use of oral testosterone, for example, you’re going to test negative. So that is really an issue."

Accoring to him,"Traditional testing in boxing, it’s basically worthless other than the detection of some types of stimulant, before and after a fight."
