Last year the Ags finished second in the NCAA men's outdoor 4X4 championships. They have a terrific team again this year. Tech could have challenged, but that looks doubtful now:

Texas Tech track star Gil Roberts and two teammates who have been all-Americans were arrested as robbery suspects on Wednesday evening after allegedly trying to flee Academy Sports with stolen goods.

Police arrested Timothy Clark Foster, 21, Roberts, 20, and Lamont Edmund Adams, 20, on robbery charges. Officers also recovered the property stolen from the store in the 5800 block of 19th Street.

There is hardly any info out there. You've put out more news than anywhere else I have seen.

They were fast enough to get to the car. It was the off duty cop in the parking lot that got them. Gil Roberts is an idiot. He could have gone pro with some more international seasoning. He was one of our (U.S.) best 400 guys. Now he'll be incarcerated for felony organized crime.

If anyone from the A&M track team is reading this, don't be an idiot. The rec is not open 24 hours (i know from experience). Stuff is not free, not even signs from meets. Felonies will end your career quick.

Slow down there Sista. You could do all those things and still go on and contribute to a Big 12 Championship.
