Wow. It's amazing that it's already Aussie Open time again.

Just think, a year ago we watched a sensational men's final, and thought we were watching possible end of Roger Federer. So close, but finally losing on a hard surface to Nadal, and losing his spot as the top player in Tennis...he cried during the awards ceremony. What a difference a year makes. Roger wins his first ever French, as well as Wimbledon, loses a great final to emerging Del Potro, and men's tennis has the best group of elite players in some time.

All of that makes for a great year coming up in tennis.

Federer takes the top seed, followed by Nadal, Djokovic, Del Potro, and Murray.

The draw comes out tomorrow, and the action begins Sunday.

Being a Federer fan, I'm always going to root for him until he retires, and I think he's got a great shot at taking the title here. However, I could see the top 4 seeds all winning this tournament. Should be great.

Who ya got? Who ya rooting for?

Roddick... Might just be hope, but I'm pulling for him.

I am going with Federer or Del Potro, with my darkhorse as Murray. He has to win one someday. It has to all click at some point for Andy

saw today that Del Potro's status is unknown with a hurt wrist. Federer has a possible quarters matchup with Davydenko...whom he's lost his last 2 matches to...so some interesting stuff there.

As for the women...I hate Serena, always have, and now I always will after her US Open nonsense.

Venus I couldn't care less about.

Gisela Dulko is always my favorite, for obvious reasons.

Also Nadal, Murray, Roddick, and del Potro in action on this opening day. Looking forward to watching many hours of tennis (no work tomorrow!)

I'm hoping Henin can come back strong. I love the way she plays and have been looking forward to this every since she announced she was coming back.

I really want to see Andy make it far but figure Federer or Murray might win it. As for the women, I'll take Clijsters, but the women's game has been ridiculously uninteresting for the last couple of years- as much as I hate Henin, I'm hoping she'll change that.

It is hard to not want Roddick to win.

well a possible upset was in the making early with Verdasco by an Aussie Carston Ball after dropping the first set, but Fernando has been able to eek out the next 2.

Not over yet, going to a 4th, but Verdasco has the momentum

I agree...it would take triple match point in the 3rd set before I'd give up on Fed in round 1...but make no mistake, Roger will have to work for it. Andreev is a tough 1st rounder.
