We finally got to see what Tabarie Henry could do in the 400m. He's special!. He ran the fastest 400m in the nation so far this year and beat Calvin Smith of Florida.

I have no idea. Someone close to the track program should be able to tell us.

keep in mind when looking at the big 12 vs. pac-10 vs. sec scores that arkansas had plane trouble and a lot of their top sprinters didn't even make the trip to college station because the flight didn't leave.

we did really well today as a whole. i loved the flotrack.org video of it all happening. tabarie henry really impressed me. and when phiri is out there, everyone else is running for 2nd.

We could possibly win national titles in the
M 60,200,400,4x400
We could possibly win national titles in the
W 200,400,4x400

I think the Men could also break the college record in the 4x400 by the end of the year.

I noticed that a few of the top Arkansas participants listed in the Heat Sheets did not perform but did not know why. Thanks for the info.

The all junior, men's 4x400 missed by 1.36 seconds of setting the collegiate record. They will eventually.

would be surprised if henry stayed on more than one season...if he lights it up outdoors you think he goes pro....nearly did after world champs last year.

As for wayne davis, i think his form has been pretty poor(by his standards), am wondering if he not knicked up a little.

As far as his future is concerned, he will be far better off if he spends another year (his senior year) in college and earns a degree. Putting off going pro for one year is easily his best option.

I tend to agree with MdTnAg, simply because of the timing of it. He's not going to have many better places to train in the lead-up to the Olympics. If it were 2011 this year, I might feel the opposite.

Of course, I think the best option would be for him to go pro, focus on the '11 WC's and Olympics, and finish school after London. Financially, that's probably his best option. I guess it just depends on how much confidence he has that he'll actually finish. Another option is to go pro, stay in town to train and take some hours (including over the summer). Not sure how far he is going to be from a degree, but that option would allow him to focus more time on training by being able to cut out a lot of the hassle of being part of an NCAA program (team meals, study hours, practice limits, entertaining recruits, etc.) and still work towards his degree.

Of course, I'd love to see him stick with the program to lead the Ags to another NC!

I do not know about easily his best option. A lot really depends on how he goes this year. No doubt he made a good choice this time around with no world champs or olympics this year meaning the shoes companies are not willing to throw out big time money.

My choice of words was not good. By far his best option is to stay in school and get his degree. His easiest option is to quit school and go pro - a choice he would more than likely regret later in life.

Agreed. Kudos to the dmr and other distance boys. They have stepped it up after a dissappointing cross country season. Way to go waters

Wow the men really moved up quick. I assume that the previous ranking didn't include Henry in the 400, and the current ranking does?

What do you guys think either team has a shot at pulling off the indoor/outdoor double?

women have a decent shot... men would be very surprising

Men have a shot, but we are a team built on sprints/jumps - so everything has to go right. Indoors you have less room for error.

If Pinder and Henry's times stand up, we have a pretty decent chance of winning the indoors and outdoors.

Makes for a fun watch.

Men definitely have a shot to do really, really well.

We probably have the top 200m and 400m runners. We should win the 4x400 and Pinder should do well in the 400. Phiri should point well in the 60 and have a chance to point well in the 200. Out jumpers should get some points as well. I would be very disappointed with a score under 40 points.

The indoor meet will come down to whether A&M wins the sprints or Oregon wins the distance.

This week will tell a lot about the men as the competition will be fierce again this week at the Armory.

Based on Best Performances so far this season, the Men would earn 60 points.
60m – 6 pts
200m - 13
400m - 18
4x400 - 10
triple jump – 13

Women 55.5 points:
60m – 5.5 pts
200m – 22
400m – 10
60mH – 10
4x400 – 6
long jump – 2

These possible points will probably go down as more people compete.

Oregon's scores are way too low for what they will have when their runners actually compete.

Wheating will probably win whatever he runs. Luckily they don't have Rupp this year, but they have some good young runners.
