Well,I wouldn't say that the men exactly cruised to a title last year. But yeah, they'll probably both win at least 1.

You don't cruise to a Championship in T&F but if we stay healthy, don't drop the baton,clip hurdles, stay in our lanes, we havea good shot.

Neither cruised and neither will cruise this year. That said, their chances look good to repeat.

as noted above, T&F performance is always on the edge of failure, no matter how good you are.

It is one of the few sports where "one play" determines the outcome.

You can have a great football team, but within the course of a game make several bad plays.

In T&F, you don't have that many plays, and each one is a scoring play. Drop a baton, pull a muscle, get a bad start, don't have your best effort, etc... and you miss out on points.

Being healthy is very important in track. Hamstring pulls are killers.

National Championships in non-revenue sports are wonderful, but of little real value (except to $Bill who gets raises for them). But Good Luck.

False. Olympian alumnus are great for the University as a whole. Great pub, potential future donors, etc. But have fun on the football board.

Oregon probably hasn't gained anything for all of their track prowess. Like Nike.

National Championships are of great value or we would not be trying to hard to grab one, or two, or three ...

Coach Henry would laugh at the statement that we will "cruise" to another National Championship.

Look at the Women Indoor 2009 team. We were ranked #1 all season. We beat #2 Tennessee in a dual. At the NCAA Championship meet on our own turf, we were the favorite – we were expected to win – we were supposed to win. What happened? We lost. We finished second to Tennessee.

Well, atleast they're of enough value for you to go to the other sports board, find a thread, and take time to make a really, really lame attempt at what I hope is a troll.

The men will cruise barring a total collapse. The women should win but have a little bit tougher go of it.
