Please take notice of the incredible job that our track team is doing this year. Our women broke the collegiate record in the 4x200m relay and the rarely run shuttle hurdle relay. Their time in the 4x200m relay was 1:29.42. They also have potential of breaking the 4x100m relay record, that they currently hold, at one of their remaining meets.

Our men and women also defended their Penn Relay titles with dominating victories in the 4x100m relay.

Both teams are positioned for a second National Championship in as many years. We will definitely have some competition at the top, but our teams look very strong.

4x200 women's race

If you go to flotrack.com and are trying to see some of the races our teams are in then look for the "champ of america" sections. Yes you would think we would compete in the "collegiate" section, but our teams are good enough that they are compared with the best in the entire country. Essentially it is saying the "collegiate" level is a step down from where we are competing.

I watched the race and the hand offs were perfect. The girls need to give the boys a few tips. Great run. Only comment is the anchor lady needs to run through the finish. The record they now have would be 1/10 faster ate least.

Our "anchor lady" is Porscha Lucas, defending National Champion at 200 meters.

I read in one of the interviews the women still aren't happy with their handoffs.

Good to hear that in spite of a great performance they still want to improve on their hand offs. Great! I love that attitude.
