Former A&M assistant swim coach Time Wise was just named the new head coach at Yale. Great to see a former Aggie coach get a big gig, replacing somewhat of a local legend up there.

I didn't live in the area when he was here, what do you old guys know about him?

Here's a bio of him I found on the Yale site (it's obviously outdated, as he's been at Yale for much longer than that now).

quote:
Tim returns for his fifth year after serving as the head coach at Southern Connecticut in 1995 and 1996. He also has been an assistant coach at Texas A&M and Arizona State. A Wethersfield, Conn., native, Wise is a 1993 graduate of Southern Connecticut where he was a New England Championship finalist three years in a row and set numerous school records. Wise also has been active in U.S. Swimming, serving as head coach for the Omni Swim Club and the Hamden-North Haven, Conn., Swim Club.

So it sounds like 1993 or 1994 maybe? Whenever it was, it was a LONNNGGGG time ago.
