This weekend, Nov 2nd and 3rd, the Penburthy intermural complex will be flooded with over thirty lacrosse teams in town for the annual tourney. The tourney consists of two brackets, a collegiate and men's club bracket. Defending conference champion Texas A&M will compete in the very difficult and highly competitive men's club bracket. Admission is free, and games will run all day Saturday and Sunday. A&M's game times will be posted later in the week.

Looks like I'll be playing in it, first time since '86.

Gunner, which men's team will you be playing for?

CP18- I played lacrosse for about 8 months and was pretty good at it. Then I saw rugby. Been playing rugby ever since, and I'm 31 yrs old now.

Awesome! I played my last 2 years in high school, so I'll try to come check out some games.

I'll be playing on the Coppell White (Cobras) team. We're really just a developmental team for the Coppell Lacrosse Association, so we're not very good and, I believe, we'll actually be playing in the college bracket. We do make up for our lack of youth and speed with a strong weakness in stick skills.

The CLA's Coppell Red team is very competitive, however, and should be fun to watch. Well, my team will be fun to watch, but more for the comedic value.

Okay, well, I'm finally home, exhausted and sore.

My team went 1-2. We started out with a 12-4 loss to Baylor, then beat A&M-Corpus Christi 10-0, and wrapped it up with a close 6-5 loss to Trinity. I scored my first goal ever in the Corpus game, so it was a good weekend for me.

A lot of wind, mud and rain, though.

I had to leave before I could watch the men's championship between A&M and the Houston club. Anybody know how that turned out?

Houston Men's defeated A&M by a goal in Overtime! A classic game that went down to the wire. Houston Men's complimented A&M on our talent level and high level of play. A great compliment considering the majority of their players played Varsity ball back east. Oh by the way, A&M totally dominated an improved Texas Tech team Saturday night. There is still one sport on campus that doesn't fold to Tech.
