The ladies kept their perfect record against the sips intact and won the Big 12 Championship in soccer by beating them 2-1.

Way to go ladies!

Perhaps its conclusion is the cause for my not being able to hear it at (9:00 pm or so) via Windows media.

What A Game!

Holy Smokes. I think that was the best Aggie game I've been to (and i've seen a ton of them).

The crowd was GIANT. The stands were full; there were people behind the south goal; and people 10 deep in all the standing room only areas; plus there were people on the other side of the fence laying on the ground to see under the wind screens! Hey, maybe it's fnally time to create a real stadium for A&M's best Team? They can fill it.

tu sent a big group of students, but they were completely surrounded by the 12th man! It was an AWESOME NIGHT!

The game was end to end. Both teams really showed why they are each ranked in the Top 5 in the country. Emma Smith had a great night on the front line (1 goal and 1 assist) and Kati Jo was fantastic in net for the Ags. She saved a penalty kick, which ended up to be the difference. Whoop!

Big 12 Champs again! Whoop!

I gotta find a way to get to San Antonio for the Big 12 Tournament.

About 5 minutes before the game, I finally got into the game with my buddies. All of us had painted up with "GIG EM" and we later added "TAMU". So since I was the first one in, I got to choice our seats. As luck would have it, the first empthy row of bleachers was 2 rows in front of the friggin t-sips, so we stood in front of them the entire night, trading yells & insults!! It was awesome and possibly the best Friday night I've had yet here in College Station.

The t-sip cheers were pretty weak. A few were in different langauges and after we scored our first goal, they started chanting "We Beat Baylor!" After we went up 2-0, they were quiet for a few minutes before starting back up with their screaming.

During our version of the Sprit of Aggieland right after the game, as soon as he had finished spelling out T-E-X-A-S, the ringleader of these circus freaks yelled "SUCKS!". I starting laughing my ass at off at him!!

One cheer was started by the ringleader saying "What time is it?" All the fruitcakes responded, " 7:36 (the current time), and OU still sucks". Then the ringleader guy tried to tell me OU was their main rival, and I just nodded my head, knowing that he was lying through his teeth.

Overall, the tu fans were pretty classless and their yells weren't very creative. I came up with about 5 yells at the game, none of which can be typed here I think.

As for the soccer game itself, Kati Jo Spisak is awesome!! She played tremendously in the 2nd half and we wouldn't have won without her superb defense in goal. She's my new favorite soccer player and she's Fightin Texas Aggie class of '06!

Kati Jo and Emma played great.

I was about 15 feet from Emma when she beat the t.u. defender and centered the ball for Juli's goal. It was a great piece of ball handling. The Horn defender thought the ball was going to roll past the end line and backed off for the goal kick when Emma spun around and made the kick. Sweet.

I can't say enough about Kati Jo, either. Great work in stopping the penalty kick. She looked solid all night. Texas' only goal looked like a set play after a hand ball. Other than that, A&M's defense and Kati Jo had Texas shut down.

It was a great game.

Congratulations to Coach G and the team on a HUGE win.

This should position the team very well for regional seeding and host purposes. Looking forward to continued success at the conference tournament and in the ncaa regionals.
