Sour grapes. It was obviously a long throw, and even if it wasn't at 67', it appears that it still was likely longer than 63'8". The assumption by Florida that because it might not have been 67' that it wasn't 63' is them just making excuses.

Bigger story: The guy on T&FNews has over 33000 posts. Holy Jeebus.

We pretty much handed Florida the title after losing 8-10 points in the 4x100 and more in the 200. They just didn't get it done where they were expected to (4x400, LJ, Shot). I guess it's easier to blame the officials than to take responsibility.

All three top mens teams failed to live up the formchart so Florida can not really blame anyone but themselves. As the guy on T&F News said even if it was off 1 meter he still would have finished second. That is what is so incredible about the A&M women is that they not only surpassed the chart but did it with a signficant injury.

Two significant injuries - they were without both Natasha Ruddock AND Gabby Mayo. Both would have scored in the hurdles and Gabby likely would have scored in the 100m.

If Florida were the Longhorns, they would just award themselves a national championship with an asterisk.

If Natasha and Gabby had competed, the WOMEN would have set the record for the most points in a NCAA Championship meet.
