How come the #1 seed isn't playing in the primetime spot on Thursday night? Nobody will be able to see them play on Thursday morning!

See the note. Highest seed will play the late game, so if/when we beat OSU we WILL be playing the late game.

OOOOOPS! Sorry!

Re: Thursday's games:
They've traditionally let the #1 seed go first on Thursday (maybe it has to do with field conditions which may be really soggy after what rain S.A. has been getting this fall)

Plus it is usually the worst game of the day. The semifinals are usually not so lop sided.

Can someone tell me exactly where the games are being held so I can look up directions on Yahoo. I'd appreciate it.

Also, do any of the soccer players read this forum?? Just curious.

Blossom Stadium/complex is boundaried by Starcrest on the N, Jones Maltsberger on the WEST, and E. Bitters on the S. Mapquest shows the area, but doesn't reveal that the football and soccer fields are not one and the same, but near each other (soccer is MUCH smaller).

I drive in from New Braunfels on I-35 (just the same as Aggies from B-CS), but I LOVE exiting at Starlight Terrace/Thousand Oaks to connect with Wurzbach Pkwy (2 blks over to the WEST, turn R off I-35), turn L on Wurzbach Pkwy and follow it at 45mph past Perrin Beitel exit, past Nacogdoches exit, and it becomes Starcrest.

I like taking the back way to Blossom by turning L on NE Entrance(looks like bucolic countryside) and then R on E. Bitters (which also looks like a country road), You will pass a warehouse district just before the stadium, and, VOILA, there you are.

Or you could stay on Starcrest, Turn L on Jones Maltsberger, and L again on E. Bitters (more congestion, but you can see the lights)

After the game you can get back on Starcrest, continuing on a few more blocks to the WEST(Starcrest turns into Bitters) and you'll intersect US 281 and LOTS of eating places, EZ's, Taco Cabana, Olive Garden, Alamo Cafe, Target, SAM's, etc.

EDIT: Comment on East and West: McJulie-O has seen and recognized the errors and has corrected them! McJulie-O fortunately does know the difference between Left and Right, but is hazy about East and West, probably a result of being dropped on her head by an older brother as a child.

The Big 12 Tournament Championship has been shown on Fox Sports in years past. Tape delayed, about a week later usually. I have the tape of last year's Championship match vs Texas and the 97 Championship match vs Nebraska.

I think just like everyday about an Aggie vs. Tar Heel Final. Still the only time I would root against A&M.

The #1 seed always plays the first match on the first day...and then the highest remaining seed plays the nightcap semifinal. This allows the most rest for the top seed. It isn't done to put the best matchups in primetime on the first day. The 4-5 match, usually the most balanced matchup on the first day, is an afternoon match on Thursday. Why? So that the 2-7/3-6 half of the bracket likely play the late matches both days...giving them equivalent rest. This is common with many conference tournaments.

The first semifinal (likely Nebraska-Texas) will be televised live on FOXSports Southwest...5 p.m. CST on Friday.

The final is to be televised, but the schedule has not been finalized. So far, it's only scheduled for same-day delay on FOXSports Rocky Mountain at 3:00 p.m. MST. If you have satellite TV, you may be able to get it (4:00 p.m. CST).

All three Final Four matches (in Austin) will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2...the first semifinal will be live on ESPN2, the second semifinal will be next-day delay on ESPN2, and the national championship will live on ESPN.

It's awesome to see so many Aggie soccer fans here! The crowd last Friday night was TREMENDOUS! Way to go, 12th Man! And way to go, Ags!!!

I'm a longtime fan and will be in San Antonio this week. I'll be with friends for Friday and Sunday (if necessary!), but everyone tells me they have to work Thursday at 11 a.m. What's that all about? Anyway, I'll be the rabid fan wearing blond hair. The weather is supposed to be great...no more rain! If you're gonna be at the Thursday game, and you see me, say "howdy!"

Hey, firstrowcenter! I've been tryin' to find a copy of the '96 and '97 finals forever! Can you make me a dub? I have last year's Portland (elite 8) match if you wanna do a trade.

BTHO OSU!!!
