Longcourse Nationals are underway now. Day 1 was yesterday.

Lindsey King, Maureen McLaine, Hannah Kinder, Alyssa Conner, Megan Latone, John Ariens, Maria Sommer, John Dalton, and Bryan Snowden are swimming. Sarah Henry is not listed in the meet - not sure why. King ans Snowden just missed making the C final yesterday.

Top 2 in each event qualify for Pan Pacs in two weeks at the same pool.

Lochte was impressive last night in the 400 IM - just two weeks after a groin injury. Katie Hoff swimming very well so far.

That's interesting. You're right.

I looked for "aggie" but she is swimming for Auburn Aquatics. Strange choice.

She did not swim well today in the 200 free.

Yeah, rumor always was that she and Steve didn't get along...which she sort of alludes to in the article...except that he took her to an Olympic berth, and now she's not swimming well at all.

Megan Latone is second alternate in the 100 back...outside chance of scratches moving her in to the C-final.

I think it looks ridiculous. But it's so perfectly Lochte...

Goblu - I had never heard CM wasn't happy until I read that interview - it sure implies there were problems. She was an awesome swimmer for A&M.

Maybe our insider friends here can provide some color.

Tonight's finals should be good to see. Phelps did not look very special this morning. But maybe he was cruising. Coughlin's backstroke was very strong - much better than her 100 fly last night.

I had never heard anything negative. Hope everything works out for her at Auburn.

Sommer made the C final in 50 free...

She indicates most of the problems were off her own doing.
