Based on everything I've heard, yes. She is indeed done (unless they are trying to pull something shady like swim for Reese all year then show up at Big 12's, etc.).

You'll also notice how well they swam against Cal -- just like 2 years ago. I'm sure that'll be good for a few more recruits just like it was then.

Smoke and mirrors recruiting. I don't understand why other schools don't point out to their commits how ****ty they are for the talent they have when swimming fast really matters.

It's funny, because the reaction you get from people in other parts of the country is "they're still getting great recruits, and they're still getting great results! How can there be the problems like you see?? You're a biased Aggie!"

It still makes me LOL that Brackin told swimmers at Longhorn Camp this summer that they just "missed their taper" and made it sound like it was something that was beyond her control. Imagine the surprise my swimmers had when I explained to them WHY they missed their taper...

No mention of Hersey's absence in either the meet preview or recap press release...I agree that she's probably toast. My feeling on why there hasn't been an official announcement is #1 Ego of Brackin and #2 she's waiting to see the new APP plan passed before she makes it official.

The Athete Partnership Plan (between USA-S and the USOC) is not yet final. But it is a plan that pays elite swimmers a fixed amount per year in return for certain commitments.
