In these new collegeswimming rankings. Which mean...ummm...that we swam really good compared to before? Not quite sure what they mean, since not one of the top 11 D-1 women's teams have a chance at winning the National Championship, and maybe 4 of them have a shot at finishing in the top 10?

Would be more interesting to me if they told us the methodology behind it.

That is a goofy method.

You'll see that Texas was ranked #1 in percentile (which means they have the fastest times in the division). A&M is ranked #6 in percentile.

Texas is ranked #44 in improvement, while the Ags are ranked #15.

Everyone knows Texas swam fast early this year against Cal. A&M started with a nothing meet, then swam faster in the dual against Texas. But A&M was slower than Texas overall.

A fast improving but slower team still is a slower team.

Those rankings would not hold up of they all swam against each other today in a big invitational.
