Huge win for the girls. Don't like seeing that 8-1 loss at #3 doubles for Urbina/Olivier, but still a solid 5-2 win.

Doubtful, but you can never quite rule out a "we were very fortunate to escape" thread from popping up.

It does seem like a lot of posters are secretly cheering for the women to lose but this was a solid win, no doubt and gets them off of the NCAA bubble and in without a doubt.

Maybe the strengthening of the Big 12(-2) is a good thing. Bobby K always seems to do just enough to stay competitive and as the conference gets better maybe he'll step up too.

Broke a tie with the 'Huskers in the Big 12 standings. That could count for a lot. Puts us on the inside track for 5th in the Big 12, and leaves us with a shot at the No. 4 seed and a first-round bye.

The difference between 5th and 6th in the Big 12 is the difference between playing 3-16 Colorado and 11-12 Iowa State in the first round. On back-to-back days, the former sets you up for a much better shot in your 2nd round than does the latter.

The Iowa State win didn't sound good, but a quality win against Nebraska. Nebraska beat Texas Tech already so maybe the women can get another win against Tech before the season ends. Don't think its going to happen against Baylor unfortunately.
