Congrats to Dan. He did far more behind the scenes work to get our program where it is than most people will ever know. Good luck in the future to him.

Edit:
On Monday we lose Turgeon
On Tuesday McKinney is gone
On Wednesday it's Waters

What a week and it's only halfway over!

Seriously...since when was A&M not a "destination job" for people?? Top 10 in the Directors Cup every year?? Massive Tier-1 University??

As for waters...interesting to jump straight to head coach in the SEC. Congrats to him, and good luck. Maybe he can pull some recruits away from LSU while he's down that way ;-).

I'm not sure losing McKinney is bad for A&M.

And Turgeon? I think he was destined to take us to the NCAAs every year, and lose in the 1st or 2nd round. Only slightly worse than our soccer coach.

LOL, probably right about McKinney. Ok, maybe it's not as bad as it seems. Who's the next coach to go??

With the men's success, I can't believe that there's not a HC job out there for Bob McKinley if he wants it. Saw Dog has gotta be on a lot of short lists too.

Above average in conference and 1st/second round "slightly" more than "slightly" worse than what the soccer coach has been able to do.

I liked Turgeon. It would have been interesting to see his teams with the new guards he picked up. He's a guard oriented guy but never had the kind of PG-SG combination he would have had the next few years. He was either starting role players or starting guys at unnatural positions in the backcourt.

However, I do think we can find other coaches who might get the same results at this place. I wish him luck, I don't think he's irreplaceable. My biggest concern is that the timing of his move, which isn't his fault, really stinks.

I expected us to lose Waters at some point. I wish him luck and he deserves it. I imagine he's turned down some overtures from programs, but I can't blame him one bit for jumping at the Alabama gig. I trust we can attract and will bring in another terrific assistant.

I think if SawDog gets a good rebound from the offense next season, he'll have some good opportunities to consider. I think he might be a few more years of seasoning away from a real good HC gig, which probably means he'll take one in a few weeks.

Looks like we didn't have to wait long for the answer: Tracy Duchac to Arizona.

Heard this through the grapevine a few days ago. Big loss for A&M, great hire for Arizona.

That hurts big. She is young, and destined for big things.
