I'm stuck in a remote location - no tv and lousy internet. Can somebody fill me in on what happened on the 3rd exchange in the women's 4X100. All I can find is Dominique Duncan lost her balance on the final exchange giving LSU the edge. It must have been good because both LSU and the Aggies were under 43 seconds.

Some of the Oregon fans, so called experts, are whining that for the second time in 3 years the Aggies got away with a violation and it cost the Ducks a NC. Anything to it - did Duncan cross into lane 7 and interfere with U of H? Somehow I have my doubts, since that would be too blatantly obvious for the officials to miss.

Gig 'Em and suck it up, Ducks!

4X400 has always been, to me, one of the most exciting sports events, and the race Jessica Beard ran epitomizes why. All the marbles on the line, running from behind, incredible performance--that was just awesome. I've watched it twice already today, and I'll probably watch it again before the day is done. Goose bump stuff when she's blasting down the backstretch, and I'm a little surprised her backwash didn't suck the Oregon runner off the track when she blew by her.

And I can't agree more about the 4x400. Always a highlight at any track meet. In this case, the drama both races offered was through the roof. Kudos to the whole team, but especially to the kids running the 4x400.

Jessica Beard and Tabari Henry were determined as crap to win. Looking for inspiration? Watch either of those two races. I hope they introduce those two teams during a football game this year and show the final lap for each race.

I'm pretty sure the team threw out shirts with that logo on them at the welcome home at Reed today. Gotta love it!
