Collier and Hardy ran 4th and 5th respectively in the junior 100m finals.

Tyson Gay withdrew

Definately disappointing, but Dix and Gatlin gave everyone a hell of a race to watch.


Bryan Miller ran 10th in the 400m, missed the final by .27 seconds. Sam Humphrey's finished 13th in the javelin. Tarmoh was 12th in the 100m semis, didn't make the final.

What is the criteria for Junior or Senior classification? Does the result here automatic qualify or international or Olympic competition?

The Olympic trials will be next summer. They're usually about a month before the opening ceremonies.

This meet serves as selection for the world championships. The last championships winners qualify automatically.

I want to say for the IAAF that juniors is 19 or younger at the end of the current calendar year.

Guy just got off to a terrible start, got back with the field by 60-70 yards, and beats them by a stride.

Doesn't seem to consistently run well at the big meets, but looks to be peaking at the right time.

Jeneba is now officially faster than Porscha Lucas - by 0.01 sec. I just wish she could get it back in the 100m...... I think she was a little gun-shy in the 100 after her false start DQ at the NCAA meet - her reaction time was way up.
