hello guys!
The tennis team is getting a new recruit that will be coming in the spring of 2012.
His name is Behzad Minavi
In my opinion, he is a raw talent and has the determination to become really really good.
I met with him at the ITA and here is his profile:

type in Behzad Minavi in the search the for player box

Things to know about this kid:
1. take a look at the jump this kid is doing in the rankings from past years,
2009: 172
2010: 135
2011: 47 and its still going up
2. he started playing tennis at the age of 12 unlike other players that have been playing since the age of 4
3. he is a real fighter and a very strong minded kid
4. at the clay court championships (supernational tournament), he lasted to essentially the same round as efferding and lost in the same round of doubles as efferding.

To sum it up, this kid can be a very very exciting player and with a year of development, I can see him being a top player on this team.

I know Bez and have coached him some in the summers. He is a good kid, with a good work ethic, but not sure that he will make an impact when he comes. That being said, I hope he does. Bez is a great kid that will fit in.

Weird that he is a class of '11 graduate, but isn't coming until Spring? Any idea why?

He told me that he will be a transfer student and that he needed like 24 hours of credit which he will be taking about 15 in the fall. These 15 hours will fulfill the requirements since he has already 9 hours from the past and he will be admitted to A&M in the spring.

I think by fall of 2012 he can be between 4-7 in the lineup and that will be his first year of playing since he will be redshirting in the spring of 2012. that being said he should move up the lineup after a few years.
Also he is a great doubles player so I could potentially see him playing a doubles line.

If we get the two top guys in the state that we are trying for, he won't see the top5 in the lineup for a while
