US Open is the only one of the slams that allows for tiebreaks in the final set (5th for men, 3rd for women). US Open started this in, I believe '68 or '74.
French, Wimbledon and Aussie allow tiebreaks in sets 1-4 for men and 1-2 for women. Final sets must be won by two games.
Unless its changed, Davis Cup doesn't allow tiebreaks in any set.
