Playing Xavier right now. Just lost the first set 25-22 while letting a 5'-9" outside hitter get 10 kills on .692 hitting in one set. Kind of ridiculous considering she's going against a 6'-4" right side and a 6'-2" setter.

A&M takes game 2 25-18. Hopefully the first game was just a fluke due to the early start...

I haven't been able to follow the team all that well this season, but I do check out scores, and I know they seem to be hyping the team up for being undefeated so far, but it seems like most of these games extend to 4-5 games against rather weak opponents. How does this translate into Big 12 comp., when we start facing tougher teams? Was this a potential ploy to land a good record come NCAA selection time? Not trying to be a debbie downer, just curious.

Yeah she tried it a few years back scheduling all cupcakes in preseason and then trying to say how good our record was. We got left out of the NCAA tournament that year because we had no good wins. The game against Michigan this weekend is really our only chance to get a good win outside of conference, and this pending loss to Xavier would certainly hurt us.

By the way we just lost the third set to Xavier 25-19. I'm only following the gametracker so I can't really comment on why we aren't playing well but I'm shocked that we don't seem to have made any adjustments to their strong outside hitter, who is still hitting .439 with 18 kills through 3 sets.

Aggies win game 4 25-21. Going to five for all the marbles!

Aggies lose to Xavier 3 sets to 2, 15-11 (I Think?) in the fifth. So much for best start in school history

thats kinda what I figured was going on, and again, not trying to be negative nancy, but I would rather our best start in school history be against quality opponents because we have a stellar team. Which is to say, I think we have the talent level, but somehow (which I think I know how) we are not developing that talent to their potential. Hope we get an inspiring rebound victory against Michigan....

Honestly, I don't think we have the recruiting or the coaching to be where our program should be. Tori Mellinger is a great kid and great Libero, but when she's your team's second best option at Outside Hitter, something is really wrong.

Something has been seriously wrong for years, but BB doesn't give a **** about vb.

Aggies swept by Michigan who is in top 20...not a good tourney for them and looks like based upon stats that Tori was substituted for and Ringel came in...no one with more than a couple of swings hit effectively but I know Rosen at Michigan and new asst was defensive minded. Where does this put our lineup going into conference play? Mellanger go back to libero or OH2 because she is too valuable not to be on the floor in the back row especially. One more match against Houston Baptist before starting in on Big 12 season.
