It was encouraging. Looks like we may have the best breaststroker and collection of women's divers in the country. We're looking pretty strong in every area on the national level except freestyle sprinting.

Even with no Henry or Ibanez and Miller not swimming a big chunk of the meet we still nearly doubled up nearly every team at the meet points-wise, including host and #9 Tennessee.

Real pleased to see McElhaney coming around. McLaine had a breakout performance and Adams was her usual strong self. Overall a great meet.

I agree with LOB for the most part.

I have concerns about 50-100-200 freestyle. Right now at Big12s we would lose all of the free relays to Texas. Texas has three girls well under 1:50 in the 200 so far.

We look exceptional in breaststroke, distance free, backstroke. We are strong in fly, especially the 200. Diving is fantastic now - Jaele on the springboards, Potvin on 10M plus springboard, and points likely from others. Texas' best diver (Maren Taylor) is injured now and I don't know if/when she will be back.

FWIW, Tennessee was only very lightly rested, unsuited, etc.

Still a phenomenal performance by A&M swimmers. They fall in line with programs like the Georgia men last year, the Florida women this year, etc. Great collections of individual scorers, but will drop some spots because they don't fit well into relays. With the addition of Patrick back to the mix, along with the other divers, I think we're still fighting for top-8 though. The fact that the medleys are still top-4 potential will help cushion the free relays some, and the 800 relay can be good too (with some versatility from our distance group).

I have faith that our 50, 100, and 200 will come around this year. There were some exceptional swims from some of the lady ags, that can very well much improve before conference.
