Here are some things I learned:
Katy Doyle had Tommy John surgery on her throwing elbow and it was performed by Dr. Frank Jobe, the noted LA Dodgers orthopedic surgeon.
When Tommy and Kristy Bonn were on the track team together the past three years, it was the first time a brother-sister tandem had played the same sport at the same time in school history.
Sprinter Brandon Boyd was a 5-4, 160-pound linebacker for Tomball High School.
Anthony Alfier (and Katy Doyle) had never thrown the javelin prior to coming to A&M. Alfier got noticed by the Aggie coaches while he was trying out for the A&M baseball team.
Erica Lankford is also a member of the Corps of Cadets.
