I'm going on a trip to Monterrey, CA and I'm playing Pebble Beach and Spyglass. Do you have any tips or suggestions for me?

I thought Spyglass was the more difficult of the two courses. It was tighter, and the greens were very fast. Pebble is a very pretty course, and presents many interesting shots. I played Pebble with a caddie, and he reallly helped with placement and club selection.

Thanks Raven. I interned with a guy last summer who also said get a caddy, so I did that for Pebble. Also thanks for the tips on the courses. Any cool restraunt suggestions??

trust me i know about the money situation, it's like extortion because you have to stay at one of the resort hotels in the area to schedule a tee time more than 24 hours in advance.

if you can, go play Poppy Hills. its a beautiful course, not on the ocean though. it's in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am rotation. and take a lot of balls! oh, and while you're at it. on the 17 mile drive..go drive into the driveway of Cypress Point. it's as exclusive as Augusta National. Cypress Point makes Pebble Beach look like it needs a facelift. at least it did about 5 yrs ago.

When I was there I stayed at the Inn at Spanish Bay which is very close to Pebble. They had a very nice restaurant and bar, and at dusk a bagpiper would come up the 18th playing his pipes. It was a beautiful picture. Carmel is not far away, and there are a number of great restaurants in that area.

Skip the golf... go to the aquarium!!!

I have had a buddy play at pepple beach and the day he went he said the wind was so bad it was the hardest course he ever played. I also had a buddy play a round at Augusta and said it was the prettiest course he ever played on.
