The mens tennis team will play Abilene Christian today at noon anD Duke this evening at 6:00> Obviously attendance will be down during spring break, but the Duke match shapes up as one of the best home matches of the year. Any help with attendance for those who will be in the area will be much appreciated by the guys.

What was the final score of the Duke match??

The final score was 5-2. Lester won it by beating the number 27 guy in the nation. Ryan then beat the number 7 guy in the nation. It was a good night.

The final was 5-2. We won the doubles point, sweeping all three matches. We won with Ryan at number one in a third set tie breaker (10-8), Lester won in three sets at number two, Ante won in straight sets at number three and Khalid won in straight sets at number five. Mat lost in straight sets at four, and John lost in three sets at six. All in all a very good night for the Aggie men against a very good Duke team. Congratulations to Jay and Dave and the Duke kids for a great effort. The number one doubles between Ryan/Lester and Philip/Michael was a thing of beauty. The individual matches between the same players was also excellent. The Aggies are making real progress, and as long as they stay healthy could be very good before the season is over.

The #1 singles was fun to watch. Don't forget that King was the freshman who beat Madden his senior year at A&M. He has an evil backhand. Great second set and tiebreak for Ryan N.

Great win for Aggie Tennis. We have won the last three against Duke!

Looks like our men's team is starting to gel. I hope they make a nice run through the Big 12 and make further progress in the NCAA's.
