I am also glad to see Rocket on board. I have been very busy, slightly out of the loop, but hopefully will do a better job in the weeks to come. In any event, Rocket's insights are always welcome and most insightful. we have our boat loaded after the OSU match, and must work very hard to be a factor in the regular season championship.

though losing to osu sucks (since if we had our full lineup we probly woulda beat them 6-1) i'm not sure if it really matters, except maybe for morale purposes. if we win out, beating the tsips and german national team, i would think the conference is ours.

that would mean we would have one loss(to osu of course), baylor or t.u.(whoever wins the head-to-head) would have one loss(to us of course, giving us the head-to-head tiebreaker), and baylor or t.u.(whoever loses the head-to-head would have two losses, including one to us).

unless i am missing something, or misunderstanding the tiebreaking rules, if we win out and if t.u., baylor, or both beat osu(which i fully expect will happen), the conference is ours. i haven't seen baylor play this year, but t.u. is definitely beatable, especially in our backyard. for now, i'll just write osu off as a learning experience.

and as far as morale goes, if our boys can't get up for t.u. at home and in waco, potentially for the title, there is something wrong. however, with this year's group, i don't see this being a problem.

step one is beating the hell outta tech on friday.

Um beating baylor is not possible, chalk the big 12 to the german national team ummmm I mean baylor bears.

Giving up to the Bears already? Remember the immortal words of Howard C: " On any given day any team can beat any other team."

And Germany would not support the coallition, so there is the partiotic factor.
