Moving my kiddo into the dorm next week. Freshman week includes viewing a quidich game. This isn't really a "sport" is it?

It is a chance for some kids to have fun playing a game based off of a book series/ movie that they loved. While at the same time a chance for all other kids not playing to look down on them for having fun playing a game based off of a book series/ movie. Also the third group that is happy the other people are happy or just don't care what others actions who don't affect them. (Which I believe makes it a win/win/win/draw as long as no interaction takes place between the two groups on opposite sides.)

Not my cup of tea, and though I have never seen/played it I'm doubting it is anything I would call a "sport". But if this is a hate on something "I'm too athletic and millennial are such idiots thread" I apologize for ruining it for you.

From what I've seen of them, they at least used to go out on the Academic plaza lawn, its a combination of handball and soccer except they hold brooms between their legs. I think it can get pretty physical, I guess a little like rugby or Aussie rules.

Those are sports, I guess quidditch (sp?) is, too?

You should probably just start larping and playing D&D if you're going to play a game from a children's wizard book.
