Newp got worked over this morning losing 3,3 in the first round. Tough way to end the season.
Lester is scheduled to play at 10. Maybe he can get on a roll.

Does anyone know how the draw is created? There seems to be some very tough match ups in the first round. For example, Reynolds (#1) has to play Stolt from Illinios (ranked in top 20 all year) in the first round and then he has to play Becker from Baylor in the second round. Very tough.

basically, they seed the top 1-8 and put them in different quarters of the draw, then they seed 9-16 and place one of those players in each quarter, then the just draw the names at random. if a player is not seeded, then there is a chance he could play anyone, ex the #17 guy could play #1 in the first round. that's where they get the expression "luck of the draw." i would be surprised if any of the guys from illinois play well today, they probably celebrated a little bit, and the vandy players have to come back from a battle. that's why it's tough for guys on good teams to do well, unless they are just a stud.

I would imagine just like any other tournament. If you aren't seeded, then its random as to who you'll play. Thats why you could have #1 play #17 in the first round.

Lester won 6-3 in the third set. Looks like he'll play Dorsch in the next round.
