My wife's non-profit (Lung Cancer Alliance) sponsors a team for Marine Corps Marathon and they have some extra bibs even though the race is sold out.
It is an amazing race to be a part of. I ran last year, and it was truly a special group to run with. For any runners out there looking for a new challenge, this is a great opportunity.
Their organization's fundraising goal for runners is $2,000, but they are very flexible and do not charge runners if they don’t meet that goal.
The registration fee is $75, which includes:
-team shirt
-one night shared hotel room
-coaching/fundraising assistance
-team handbook w/ lots of tips
-free team dinner the night before the race
