That was a colossal F up on that last exchange. Why the McCorory wasn't on the inside is baffling. Spencer was on the inside the entire time.

That was awful by runners 2 and 3.

Ato Boldon just did a good job of explaining a rule that even as a former 4x400 runner I didn't know existed. You always see people swapping at the line for position. That last exchange was awful.

What was the rule? Can't change positions after hitting the straightaway?

whoever is leading at the 200m mark gets the inside lane.

just had a twitter exchange with Ato, said it's a IAAF rule, but in NCAA on down you can swap all the way to right up before the exchange.

Interesting can get away with that at NCAA. Was unaware of that...Pretty dangerous to allow that. Gets hectic at those exchanges.
