Wow - what a race today!

1) Vettel
2) Alonso
3) Iceman
4) Rosberg
5) Hamilton

Highlight was seeing Alonso pick up Webber and drive him home after he had to retire in the last lap. Great sportsmanship and a repaid favor from 2011 when Webber gave Alonso a ride home when he ran out of gas in the German GP.

It certainly was. Vettel flew off the line and then took off again after the safety car.

I know people hate Vettel and say he's only good because of his car, but his teammate was 40 seconds behind him in the same car and didn't finish the race because of mechanical issues in the last lap. Vettel's team might have superior equipment, but he's also a damn good driver.

Just like in Schumacher's heyday. You have to respect talent. Although Schuey's run was with two different teams. Plus, Ferrari was kind of a shambles in the reliability department when he started there.

It was obvious he was something special during stints at BMW and Toro Rosso. He is simply the best race car driver in the world right now. It's fun to watch the pursuit of perfection. All that being said, it's starting to feel like Schumy/Ferrari all over again. I want to see some other team accept the challenge and step up their game.

Next year at Maranelo is going to be interesting. Superteams don't work and this one won't either. I'm betting Alonso melts before the Iceman. I think, and hope, that Kimi/Ferrari will be the guys to take it to RBR.

RBR vs Ferrari. Alonso vs Kimi. It will be grand theater.
