The ladies are heading into battle. Pre qualifying rounds should be winable for Mamalat. She just has to stay focused and not get winded. The fish, should be telling on her ability to play at this level. To be as highly ranked in the fish class, hopefully she will rise to the occasion. Qualifying rounds having Stancu in that mix will be a real test early for her. Doubles splitting the twins is interesting. Anybody have some feedback on why that's taking place?

Thx for the update jws. Pre quals complete. Singles saw Ines get to the finals then the UCLA gal rumbled through and took out Ines 1, and 1. The gal from UCLA lost only 9 games from the round of 32 on through the finals. Mamalat loses early to the eventual final victor in her draw tree. But Ines, minus sis comes back with a doubles finals victory w/ Rutuja in pre quals, now for the qualifying rounds.

NP, so we got Stancu in at singles, then the romanians and Ines/Rutuja in at doubles.. Solid showing. Always room for improvement.

All our qualifiers are still playing. One more match in both singles and doubles and its on to the BIG tamale. At the time of this submission Tina SHOULD be through but no score posted on the website yet.

Great run at the All American for Christina Stancu! Looks like she will be in the #1 slot. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the lineup pans out. Lots of new faces this year.
