Spice - it's almost like they're listening.

Well damn.

Very cool article. I am very happy for Troskot - who is swimming as fast as many thought he could when he signed with A&M.

One of our ongoing topics here for years with the mens team is whether or not swimming fast mid-season is valuable. I am a believer in the idea that swimming fast early gives you confidence that you can do it - and don't have to bet the farm on one meet at the end of the season.

Neat comment on his starts. I have only been able to watch Kyle on streaming video. And for most of the races I saw - he was slow off the blocks. Nice to see that has been an area of emphasis.

Great article by the SwimSwam bunch.

I don't know if it's a function of the new NCAA qualification rules (aka, can't skate folks through on relay qualifiers) or a shift in philosophy, but there's very, very few programs that seem to not rest mid-season at all. Texas men don't, Tennessee M&W don't...that's what I can come up with. Even Florida seems to get a little mid-year taper action in these days.

Nice to read the love from Swimswam!!!
Kyle WAS a great talent from day 1!! Starts & turns, from my perch, have always held him back. Also, he added about 25 lbs of weight since arrival -- a questionable variable??
His coaching is not a simple conversation! If coaching was as simple as these boards say, we would all take on this gig.
I am extremely happy for Kyle and the positive media.
Out.
