Does anybody know if these courses will be public or private? I've driven by both and the courses look great. Just wondering if I'll be able to play them.

Santos,

I believe they are both going to be private. Both surrounded by residential development and Traditions will also have some commercial development. Have heard that memberships are moving along okay at both but if things get bad
financially who knows they may go public to pull in more $$. Just a thought-you never know.

They both look nice-drove through them during the Utah weekend. Miramont is saving no expense-all brick fencing, very ornamental, fountains, etc. While it looks nice I prefer a more "Texas" look architecturally, Miramont looks a bit much like a castle to me. I am sure the development home wise will be quite nice though. Suppose to be more acreage type lots from what I have heard. I would expect house to be $300K and up.

Traditions, from what I have seen, looks to have more of a "Hill Country" look to it architecturally speaking. More use of stone and wood with porches and such. Plus they are going to also develop "Founders Cottages" that look quite nice and will be finished out 1st class. Saw one plan that will be a 4 bedroom, 4 bath-quite nice. I bet this will be developed residential wise along the same lines as Pebble Creek.

How was this for a short answer to public or private!!!hehe

Thanks Ag2Max. That sucks that they won't be public. I think there's really an untapped market in BCS for a more upscale public course.

Santos I agree with you. I feel a nice public course would do great and is a true need. I have thought that for years. Bryan's muni is the pits and the A&M course could use some work too. I heard a few years back that A&M was going to spend a few million to redo the A&M course but have not seen any mention of it again.

Just wait. My guess is that there are going to be at least one too many private golf courses in the area, so at least one will change.
