With the season in full swing this weekend, here are a couple things to ponder:
The current USTFCCCA has the men ranked 4th behind Florida, Oregon and Florida State...
The women are ranked 2nd behind Florida (Oregon 3rd)
Outdoors: Track and Field News (" Bible of the sport") sees the men finishing 4th behind Florida, Oregon and Arkansas. They project Deon Lendore to repeat as 400 champ and project newcomer Latario Collie-Minns to win the triple jump.
They do see the women WINNING the national title in a close one (by 1 point) over Oregon and 4 points ahead of Texas. Projected to win titles are Kamaria Brown (200), Shamier Little (400IH) and Shelbi Vaughn (discus)
TFRRS.COM (the performance listing branch of the USTFCCCA) has updated A&M's roster that now includes both Latario Collie-Minns and his brother Lathone. Both are super talented horizontal jumpers.
JC transfer sprinters O'jay Ferguson and Just'n Thymes are NOT listed...hopefully the will pop up before the outdoor season gets underway.
On a final note it appears the the Aggie men picked up a good multi's performer in Lindon Victor (Grenada) who has scored 7400+ points in the decathlon.
