Robert Grant a hurdler out of Brophy Prep in Phoenix and who led the nation in '14 in the 300 hurdles (36.24) and had the 2nd fastest 400 hurdle time (51.16) has transferred to A&M. Grant did not have an outstanding year as a freshman at the University of Miami, but is an awesome talent and will be instantly eligible for the Ags. The Arizona native will be a nice replacement for graduating senior Greg Coleman. Grant attended the same high school as Oregon footballer/hurdler Devon Allen (knee injury this past seson) who won the outdoor collegiete and USA title in '14.

I don't understand why anyone in T&F would quit colege and go pro. You do get some money but your best results in track will not occur when you are college age.

To give up on obtaining a college degree just does not make sense.

Seems like Oregon like many other schools is building their tack and field program on transfers
