Believe it or not, we lost in OT 5-4, AFTER taking a 4-1 lead into the 2nd period. Missouri is in last place in the Conference

We just have to hope that Colorado & Nebraska both slip up, or else the Big12 Regular Season Championship is probably out of reach.

Girls were probably looking ahead to next weekend and didn't compete today and blew it.

I agree. Just never thought I'd see Kati Jo give up 5 goals in one game, much less 4 in slightly over a period of playing time

as long as we win out (cu and nu at home next weekend, and tu in austin) we are not really concerned with nebraska, correct? that would give them at least 2 losses...so they don't really matter to us. the only help we need is for colorado to either lose(to give us the lead outright, 7-1-2 to 7-2-1) or tie(to even our records at 7-1-2), and then i assume we would get the title with the hth tiebreaker advantage. however, i have no idea who colorado still has to play, and therefore, the chance that we can expect some help.

of course, this is all contingent upon us winning out and the standings on the aggieathletics website being correct and up to date.

just did some research. colorado beat osu 1-0 today, and still has to play t.u., us, and nebraska on the same dates that we play nebraska, them, and t.u., respectively. that's about the best schedule for them that we can ask for. if we win out, all we need is for colorado to tie nebraska or t.u. and we win the regular season title. i think.

Ok, if Colorado is 6-0-1 right now, that's 19 points. We are 4-1-2 right now, which is 14 points. Nebraska lost to Kansas and is now 5-2-0 for 15 points. Texas is now 5-2-0 after beating Iowa State for 15 points. OSU is 3-3-2 for 11 points.

So we have:
Colorado 19
Nebraska/Texas 15
Texas A&M 14
OSU 11

The last three games are the top 4 teams playing against each other. This will make it REALLY interesting. If we win out, we will end up with 23 points. That means Colorado has to lose one and tie one, or lose two. Also, if we win out, neither Nebraska or Texas can catch us, because we would have beaten them.

Therefore, we absolutely must win every game. Then, Colorado has to tie or lose to another team. A tie would put us both in first place with 23 points, and I don't know how a tiebreaker works. If it's like baseball, we'll be co-champions and we'll both bring home trophies. If not, we'd have the tiebreaker.

That has to be one of the worst losses in the history of the program. Any chance of getting a top 4 seed and home field up to the final four are pretty much gone.

So I guess the rest of the season we face pushovers? na uh I dont think so. We have nebraska and colorado at home. Who is saying we can't win out? We have not lost a game at home since oct. 14, 2001. many many moons ago. I just read the sad news. At least this fluke loss was against Mizzou. We still have everything in our own hands if we win all of our final games and the big twelve tournament in San Antone. I think this loss may have been a wake up call. I would assume that we would win out a tie in points with colorado if we actually beat colorado during the regular season. Either way we all need to turn out and support our great lady aggies!

A final four seed certainly isn't out of reach. Colorado & Nebraska are both ranked in the top 15. A win over both of them would keep us hovering around the top 5, I'd say. Depends on the other top teams. We would pretty much need to win out and then win the Big12 Tourney in order to get a top4 seed. It's definitely possible.
