Mizzou loss can be a wake up call

Hopefully, this tough loss will give us the focus necessary to beat nebraska and then colorado, probably the best team in the conference other than ourselves. If we had beaten mizzou 4-1 we might have lost some focus vs. nebraska. A loss to missouri thus is better than a loss to colorado at this point in the season. I think we still have a very good chance to win the big twelve and also take the tournament. A home field advantage in the ncaa's will be very, very important.

I can't help but think the team thought they had it won at halftime and didn't play hard in the second half. I have to admit when I saw the halftime score on the live updates, I didn't even look again because I thought it was over.

I read somewhere that a two-goal lead was probably the worst to have in a way because you think you have the game won and let down your guard. I think this is the same tyoe of deal.

It's unfortunate that Kati didn't have a better day in Missour since she is from St. Louis. We'll be ready on friday vs. last year's conference winner, Nebraska.

Maybe that's why we didn't substitute too many people in last friday vs. iowa state with a 2 point lead.

Wake up call? What are we waking up from or waking up to? Just an eye opener for our ladies. Tough lose but the tigers came out and played. We just need to stay focused. The team will bounce back. ash

Wake up call; eye opener; same thing to me. I just think the loss will give us the energy to focus vs. Nebraska which always sports a great team and the showdown vs. colorado on sunday. After defeating texas, it will be off to san antonio to win the big twelve tournament.
